Known to be the largest of the Balkan States, Romania offers many tourist attractions and vacation experiences. The country has a rich cultural and natural diversity. Among its highlights include the medieval towns in Transylvania, the world-famous Painted.

Monasteries in Bucovina, traditional villages in Maramures, the magnificent architecture of Bucharest, the romantic Danube Delta, fairy-tale castles, the Black Sea resorts, the majestic Carpathian Mountains, and spas. Many tourists have come to Romania and become enchant by its scenic mountain landscape, and wonderful historical sites, beach resorts, and medieval towns. Since Romania is a renowned spa country, you can also locate 70 health centers as well as 3000 mineral-rich thermal springs.

The funds of Romania is Bucharest, dubbed as the Little Paris as a consequence of their own Arch of Triumph, its tree-bounded boulevards, and Belle Époque structures.

The central region of Romania includes Transylvania the property with the renowned yet intriguing Count Dracula. Many medieval towns are located right here, towns of marvelous architectural structures like castles, churches and old houses built by Saxon craftsmen some nine centuries ago. Just one of which is the UNESCO's Earth Heritage web page Biertan Fortified Church.

From Germany's Black Forest towards the Black Sea flows the Danube River, the river that flows with the largest amount of nations internationally. Its delta is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts for it serves since the habitats of several colonies of birds. The Danube Delta is the second largest and also the most preserved deltas throughout Europe; and may be the third largest biodiversity internationally alongside Fantastic Barrier Reef and Galapagos Islands.

In many parts of the world, Transylvania is also known as the home of Dracula, one of the most popular characters in horror fiction. After all, it is where Bran Castle, the main setting for Bram Stoker's novel, is located. This castle is also said to be one of the former residences of Vlad III or Vlad Tepes, the infamous prince of Walachia on whom the character of Dracula is based, who, incidentally has Draculea as his Romanian surname.

Aside from visiting Bran Castle, make sure you drop by the ruins of Poenari Fortress, Vlad's actual castle, when you visit Romania, to learn more about his life, and visit the Princely Court in Targoviste where he supposedly impaled the boyars. You can also stop by Casa Dracula in Sighisoara, where Vlad Tepes was born and Snagov Monastery, where Vlad Tepes is said to be buried. It is also worthwhile to spend the night at the village of Arefu where the locals will be more than willing to share you stories handed down from their ancestors, who, according to legend, were the loyal servants of Vlad Tepes himself.
