Thailand Tourist Attractions

By Abel Smith at 2011-01-09 23:52:45
Most tourists spend less in Thailand's capital city. They find the pollution and traffic extremely wearing so they opted for places that will take them off from the busy streets of Bangkok. Although they don't miss to visit the Grand Palace Compound, the National Museum and of course the massive Chatuchak weekend market. Here are some of Thailand's main tourist attractions and activities.

Thailand is blessed with a tropical climate, leaving it oscillating between cool temperatures and sweltering heat, aside from a brief rainy season around September time. Beach goers will want to visit around March to June time, whilst backpackers and those visiting temples wanting to avoid the worst of the heat by heading out between November and February.

The population is made up mostly of native Thai people, with a small minority of Chinese immigrants. The Thai language is also it's own, thought it may be difficult to pick up for tourists due its tonal nature. The most popular religion is Theravada Buddhism, leaving in its wake a vast array of stunning temples and monuments.

Trekking : Unlike the organized treks in the Himalayas, Thailand's "hill-tribe treks" focus on the ethnic-minority villages that you walk to, rather than on the walking itself or the scenery. The hill tribes live way out in the sticks, but their villages are connected by tracks, so the hiking is not difficult. Most treks last two to four days and feature nights in the villages, as well as an elephant ride and river rafting. The main trekking centres are the northern cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, but routes out of both are hugely over subscribed, so it's better to start from Mae Hing Sin, Pai, Kanchanaburi or Umphang instead, where trails are quieter and more rewarding.

Thailand also dubbed as the Land of Smiles is a beautiful country blessed with astounding tourism attractions which are unique and provide tourists to enjoy holidays in a delightful and memorable way. On you Thailand tours you cannot afford to miss to visit some of the top attractions of tourist that include the famous The Grand Palace in Bangkok, Butterfly Garden and Aquarium in Phuket, Sri Mahamariamman Temple in Bangkok, Patong Beach Phuket, Railey Beach Karbi, Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens in Chaing Mai, etc.

Beside these marvelous attractions there are several other attractions which are also worth to visit and explore on your tour. But at the same time the events of Thailand are also mesmerizing that lures tourists from all over the world. Bangkok International Film Festival, Chinese New Year Celebrations, Pattaya Music Festival, Toh Moh Goddess Shrine Festival, Samui Carnival, King's Cup Elephant Polo Tournament, Sukhothai Loi Krathong Festival, and Chiang Mai Flower Festival are some of the important events that showcase the beautiful blend of Thailand's past with the present.

Thailand is well known for its nightlife, which is a major tourist attraction. Thailand's restaurants and outstanding bars offer irresistible package with the best cuisine ever. Another reason that makes Thailand Travel, a popular destination is its accessibility.

Though this region is rich in tradition and culture, its infrastructure is considered to be the most contemporary aspect in this region. Transportation, banking, and telecommunications facilities in this country helps many tourists to visit even remote regions very easily.
